Hydro has no accounts, no ads and no trackers, and it does not sell your data. Here is what stays on your phone, what is shared to get your answers, and what you control.

On your phone

Your places, history, settings and watch readings live on your device. There are no accounts.

Shared only to answer you

Weather, maps and the assistant get just what they need to give you a result, and nothing more.

Always your choice

Location and health data are optional, switched off for the assistant by default, and easy to turn off.

Stays on your phone

  • Pinned places and history

    The places you pin and the conditions you have checked are stored on your phone.

  • Settings and alerts

    Your alert level, quiet hours and display choices, including weather animation.

  • Watch readings

    Heart rate and steps from Health Connect. Hydro reads them and never changes them.

Shared to get your results

    Your location is used to fetch the forecast, air quality and sun data for where you are.

    Places you search for and routes you plan are sent to draw the map and plan the trip.

    When you ask about events in your area, only a place name is sent to find recent reports.

  • The assistantGoogle Gemini

    Your questions, and the conditions needed to answer them, are sent to write a reply in plain language.

Your health data

  • Optional and read-only

    Connecting a watch is your choice and uses Android's Health Connect permissions.

  • Off for the assistant by default

    The assistant cannot see your readings unless you switch on “Let the assistant use it”. The setting explains that the numbers would then be sent to Gemini.

  • Disconnect any time

    Turn it off from the Alerts screen whenever you like.

  • Guidance, not diagnosis

    Suggestions drawn from your readings are general guidance and never medical advice.

    Hydro uses your location to show conditions around you and to plan trips.

  • Not required

    Prefer not to share it? Search for any place and use Hydro the same way.

This website is private too
